You can't just put up an antenna and get on the web

() These are antennas only, and they are highly directional ones - not so convenient or useful on a free swinging boat with no idea of where the AP is. Also, not weather proof or convenient to mount. Antennas are relatively cheap, and are only 1/3 of the system.
