When cruising it's important to have catalogs
In Response To: Survey -- who wants paper catalogs? ()
We keep a West Marine, Hamilton and a Defender catalogue on the boat.
When the only way to get a part is to order it and have it shipped to another country a catalog is the only way to go. When you're cruising and tell someone on a net that you have a catalog to give away you always get a lot of responses from people that want it. Hell, I had a guy sail more than 100 miles to pick one up from me.

- I find catalogs useful for checking stuff
- Catalogs are beneficial. I've almost never "browesed" the web sites. I think it's pretty useful to have them.

- TOTALLY agree with Pam.....
- Good Catalogues are handy. I use them.
- Try reading YOUR e-mail you sent the company.
- catalogs may be nice for some but I feel that they (and junk mail) kill way to many trees...

- Defender needs both a catalog and a website.
- To be fair to Larry, this is THE question in publishing anything today.
