Wrong? No. Different? Yes.

"Wrong" implies I was saying what's right for someone else. I never did that. I stated my opinion, which later proved to be different from most. Again you're ignoring the fact that I solicited the opinions of others. You can and do disagree, fine -- but that doesn't make me "wrong" about how I think of catalogs, nor does it make me wrong to express my view. I don't say you're "wrong", and I don't think you should judge me for my choices.

Changes? There was no change of opinion. I still feel badly about recycling catalogs, phone books and other publications without reading/using them. Obviously most people on this board still want their catalogs and that's OK with me. There is obviously value in them for the majority.

Pam did not "appropriately" "call me" on anything. I never changed my original post. I edited out a mildly flippant response to her statement: "You have no right to tell a big corp that I don't want a catalog". (Her statement was off-base, because a careful unbiased re-reading would show I was expressing my opinion and never trying to speak for anyone else.) My edit resulted in a more constructive response for the benefit of Pam and anyone else who cared to read it.
