I didn't tell Defender not to send YOU a catalog. I suggested to Stephan: "I think you should survey your regular clients and find out how many would prefer to save a few trees and forego the catalog."
I was curious whether other people feel as I do, which is why I posted this survey. Obviously they don't.
I don't want the catalog because I think it wastes trees, I'm running the computer anyway (and its environmental impact is significant) and Internet connectivity isn't a problem where I sail. It costs the Defender or WM or Hamilton company a huge amount of money in pre-press staff overhead, pre-postal production/printing fees from the catalog vendor, along with costs of mailing. (As another business owner I'd rather see that cost go toward profits, or as a customer would rather see reduced prices).
You can have your catalog. After a day or a year it gets recycled or ends up in a landfill. If WM or Defender asked me before they sent it, I'd opt out.
