Annie and I are repowering our Coast 34 in prep of our upcoming pacific cruise next year and the 38.5 hp 3JH5E was an option till we looked at the spec of changing from 2" to 3" exhaust. Wow I already have too many damn holes in our boat and the thought of expanding a 2" to 3" is anathema to us. So it is down to the Volvo D2-40 or Beta 38.
