What youll see is a simple round BAR thats affixed to the hull via a T in the end of the bar, the bar terminates in an eye just above deck level, the bar is sealed at the deck with a membrane/gasket inside a 'deck pad' and can easily follow any 'sideways strain' of the rig ..... super simple, elegant ... all straight line stress, no kinks, no bends, minimum of 'bolt holes', etc. I give whoever designed this an "A++" in (elastic) stress design.
