I vacuumed it out several months ago and now it is clean, dry and almost dust free. The bilge pump was on the list recommended by the surveyor when I bought the boat, and no doubt it is a good idea...

I was toying with a bit more complicated idea using starboard, when I saw the article you wrote. Far less complicated, and far more serviceable than what I had been thinking.
