I currently have what looks like nylon sail slides, in a metal track, similar to the ones below. I was thinking about metal slides, and the first site that I saw had stainless slides for Strong track... which turns out to be a plastic.

Are there metal slides for metal tracks?

Am I overthinking this? I have two broken slides right now and I will probably be buying new sails this year... so I am contemplating this sort of thing.

It's not like I have a huge amount of sail to haul up either... P is only 31 feet with 190 sq foot of sail to haul up. It is a full batten main.
