At one point you just have to stop.
We have 2 mounted bilge pumps with staggered height float switches + a 'High Water Alarm' 3 inches above the second or higher float switch. We also have the biggest 110 volt sump pump that Lowes had set up to throw in the bilge and we'll start the generator or invertor to run it. We have no manual pump figuring a 5 gallon bucket when we're freaking out is better.
If none of that controls the water and I can't stop it there's always the life raft, EPIRB and insurance.
There's only so much you can reasonably do or carry.
I hate this,,,,, we're on the Intracoastal heading north at anchor near Coinjock. The wind has been from the North or Northeast and either 20, 25 or less than 10. Were a motorboat sailing only about an hour in the past 3 days. Inside just seems better than outside,,, but maybe we're both just a couple of wimps
Good thing we have an IPad and 'Angry Birds' and 4G to keep us occupied.
