well, not really. I only put a severe S shape into the aluminum spar when my outhaul cleat caught one of his shrouds. But that was so long ago. Then our first date sailing, I forgot to remove the mooring line, sunk the boat once, etc. etc.

I won't tell my son this for a long, long time, but so far,... I've been very impressed by his ability not to do anywhere near the damage I did by his age.
