on the lifelines when doing day or short 1 day sailing. When going off shore, we strap it to the side of the cabin. It blocks/protects the ports on our stbd. side. And by the way, when we took that rouge wave, it hit that side (LUCKY) and the dink did protect the ports.
Also, the 2 seats (8 footer) and transom gets stored below when the dink is strapped to the cabin, but stored between the cabin sides and dink when it's on the lifeline stantions.
