Initially in comparing energy used, I thought Todd was talking about his sailboat. A powerboat doesn't have much to compare. On an overnight, it's likely running an engine beyond what any refer requires for charging. On a sailboat, the goal is usually to get there under sail.
But then once you get somewhere, sail or power, the clock starts ticking. Even Dashews Windhorse which has acres of solar panels, when I circled it in Pulpit Harbor, had a generator running.
