That's some GREAT weather for that trip. Most people we know end up in Alaska.

We have the toys (Ooppss I mean tools) also.

But even though I double check them often, I tend to not trust them completely. We were crossing from Cabo to the mainland in Mexico some time back. I had the radar set up with a guard zone of about a mile. I was in the cockpit and looked around and to my surprise, a shrimper was pulling along side. He was asking if we wanted any fresh shrimp! Some how the radar had lost focus. I fixed it, but sure startled me.

We are doing a refit now, but plan on an AIS before we splash.
