I store with 7 stands and have for the last 16 years. Never a problem. Do chain the stands together though.

I would take a close look at your engine mounts. The engine is the heaviest thing in the boat and the drop has certainly messed up your alignment if it hasn't actually bent the mounts of loosened their hold down bolts.
