You got off easy.

I'm glad to see the damage was so minimal Al. A 42 foot aluminum boat was dropped onto a jack stand at my harbor, the pad slipped off and the jack stand poked a hole right through the hull. It's aluminum so fairly easy to repair but the boat was at quite an angle and they couldn't get it straightened so they had to put it back in the water to get it straight in the slings so now there is a bit of water damage as well. I wasn't there but it sounds like it was crane operator error and not equipment malfunction in this case.
