I had a radar with a terminal strip. I tried crimped spade and ring terminals at first but they were a pain on so many small wires (not strong enough and too bulky). So I ended up with bare wire ends.

To help with the wire ends: tin them with solder, coat them in silicone grease when connecting and when disconnecting, get a terminal strip where the screw is not in contact with the wire (flat metal strip between screw and wire makes contact).

To help with old eyes: I just bought my first pair of magnifying glasses (1.25) probably should have got them a year ago.
