That's great advice, Tom, about being ready to anchor on a moment's notice. In flight training my instructor constantly drummed into my head... "what ever else is happening... just fly the plane", meaning that keeping the plane flying was paramount. I often imagine scenarios, like man overboard, or sudden fog in Muscongus Bay, and find myself prioritizing tasks... can convince yourself maybe it's not a safe place to be!
Your advice is very helpful in visualizing what it might be like pulling into a strange harbor late in the day and have to make something work there for the night!
