Talked to Lasdrop first. They were hesitant to say anything other than telling me of a nightmare instillation on a power boat that cost a little more than half as much even though a lot of engine needed to be removed to get to it.
Port Annapolis said there were even more hours I wasn't billed for. I had no where to go other than suggest that when they run onto problems which they say they did, that they communicate with the owner. If I knew they were having problems (which I don't believe) I would have taken the job over and done it myself. I can't just give them license to take as many hours as it takes and get a bill.
I usually get a quote on a price. If it is going to be more than 20% above the quote I ask them to call and tell me. They were suppose to give me a quote before they started but they just did the job and sent me a bill.
I'll just pay it and remember the incident.
