Start your trip in the Southern Bahamas, way south, the furthest south, like Crooked & Acklins, Jumentos/Raggeds, Georgetown. South of Exuma in winter you will see water & air temps at least 5, maybe 10 degrees warmer than Abaco. And not nearly as many Fronts will reach down there as will slam Abaco. Then work your way back north as the spring gets on, do Abaco last, best time there is May & June ... or better yet, not at all ! Abaco's not much different than South Beach, not my favorite part of the Hamas. Cheers, John
