I'm going to the yard today and will sound it out. If it is dramatically different sounding I'll undertake the "cut out...re-core" approach. If it does not sound different I'll probably let it be till the next haul out in twenty-four months and if it has not re-shaped deal with it then. Buying an old boat is always an "undertaking" to say the least, especially if you're anal and want it to be as good as new...and look that way to boot. This boat is large, has many issues to deal with and I'm just getting the process started. It is an unusual boat that I always like because of its "workman" like approach to everything. Having many old boats from the sixties and seventies over the past thirty years I'm partial to them but this one may test me. I've attached a photo "before" and will occasionally post an "in the process" shot and finally an "after" view.
