Texting often works in areas with weak signals

() Just a momentary connection is all it takes. Places like Perry Cr. or Seal Bay with spotty cell coverage and no 3G/4G still have texting coverage. No need to go ashore and hike up a hill looking for a cell signal. We don't use it often but nice to have. Last summer we stashed a car at our son's place in SWH expecting that we would need to return home on short notice. It was nice knowing that family members could reach us when the need arose.
