And yes, the maps function has saved me a lot of time on several occasions. An example- driving from here in South Texas to Oklahoma there was a wreck on the interstate just below Dallas- traffic backed up for miles. The map showed a small farm road about a half mile ahead, and a junction with another, that took me through a tiny town (still don't know the name of the town) and back to the interstate about 4 miles past the wreck. I regained an virtually empty highway.
