This dorade leak is my last 'messy' project, having just finished up removing and drying out a small area of wet balsa, and re-pouring thickened epoxy from above. Projects like these leave the boat a mess with overhead ceiling panels off, grinding fiberglass in the cabin etc. In a day or two I can clean the boat up, then concentrate on stowing all the new gear we seem to have acquired - safety gear, Iridium phone and the like. We plan to head straight to the Azores, spend a month or so then winter in the UK, perhaps Ipswich.

bte I did remove that dorade flange, and I did put a very small bead of thickened epoxy along the seam, which I will now cover with the butyl tape. I think it will be OK. I appreciate all the responses.
