The entire Dorade is structurally sound, the inner baffle is fine, it's all in good shape ... It appears the Dorade was part of the deck mold and then the flat base underneath was bonded on afterwards ... And on one inside edge of one Dorade they did a poor job bonding. In certain conditions it allows tiny drips which trickle down over the ceiling trim. For a long time I thought the large main cabin window had a leak, but after pulling the ceiling down I'm sure it's the Dorade.
This doesn't happen at anchor. My boat is now on the hard and sitting slightly down by the stern, and that oddity plus a major rainstorm is what led to this discovered. I'm lucky in that regard.
Incidentally the drain holes for the Dorade are about 3/4" high of the deck so I am going to grind those lower so that there is no standing water whatsoever inside the Dorade.
