One of my long time sailing friends got "a deal" last season, a free boat. The owner of a Seidelman 37 realized he had purchased a project boat that was actually a PROJECT BOAT, way more then he could handle. So he offered it to another club member for free. It has been a major work in progress for the last 18 months or so and that beadboard idea would really help him with parts of it.
I also did a bulkhead replacement on that Catalina 27, nothing of this magnitude of course, but I used a red oak plywood that took a very nice stain and looked very close to teak. I sealed the edges with epoxy. I saw the boat recently and the bulkheads still look great.
Nice job by the way, very nice job.
