I liked your quote that if you don't look back at your boat at least twice when you leave it, you have the wrong boat!

The funny thing is I caught myself doing just that several times recently. I suppose I have always looked back a couple times and never took note.

I have to admit, a lot of it is out of paranoia... Is the sail cover fully attached, are the dock lines snug, are the halyards docked so they won't slat, etc., etc. The last time we returned from a short trip, we left the inverter on, the charger off and a 100 watt heater plugged in. Doh! Fortunately I found it before the batteries were in extremis!

But mostly I look back because I love the boat, as you should with yours!
