...had no expansion tank, it had one of the variable rate, flow sensing pumps. After a warranty replacement in year two and one on my watch I decided that a conventional pump with expansion tank was a better choice. As a matter of fact when I was talking to my contact at Sabre about the issue they told me that the flow sensing pumps had been something of an issue for many of their customers...(nl)I've read the Practical Sailor article but as usual I find their test criteria kind of irrelevant. Who cares how much the pump draws when it runs for so short an amount of time???(nl)I may simply purchase a conventional Surflo and call it s day....(nl)Bruce
