I have pumped up the air pressure in the expansion tank a few times to optimize time between pump power-ons.

This system is near our bunk. That's mostly a plus since we'll know right away if faucet has been left on or a tank has run dry. I wouldn't mind quieter, but the Shurflo isn't that loud.
