...and after as much internet research as I could stand, I decided to give this device a try. It is Italian, made of metal, small, fairly quiet and appears to be a quality design.
I purchased it from Tides Marine in Florida (the importer???) for a very healthy discount. I actually tried to buy it from Jamestown Distributors but they claimed it was not available until October! This places it in the price bracket of the Jabsco Sensor Max that was originally installed on the boat.
I will of course report back after it gets here and I install it...
