I recently started keeping a few bottles of nice wine on my boat.. should I be invited to another boat and not want to arrive empty handed, or should I decide to have a nice glass of wine with a meal. My boat has a "special" bilge above the regular very deep bilge... this special area is a shallow area in which wine bottles nestled in old socks fit quite beautifully. (I also keep water in bottles in trays in the same area.)

The question I am wondering about is the constant movement of the boat. Would that not stir the wine? Are there negative effects to wine due to such movement?
