Carry Madeira, port, or sherry. That's what Master and Commander did . . .
Years back, chartering in the Windwards, we used to get quite decent wine in Grenada, but the most popular among American charterers? The red stuff we got in Martinique in 1-liter bottles with plastic flip tops.
Personally, I can tell the difference between wine and vinegar. Between good wine and OK wine? not so much. At home we drink Chateau Carton.
