Never finished it though. I agree of course with your thoughts about quality and serviceability, but I don't equate heavy construction with high quality. As a multihulls guy, I view light weight with quality as a desired performance engineering accomplishment, even in a monohull and even in a power boat. I also view narrow beam as a performance asset, whether sail or power, displacement or planing hull.
