Let me let you in on a little secret... and perhaps this is because my boat is so old... but there are shortcomings in that boat too. I work standing on my head, the spaces are small, the finishes you see are good, but beware you have to reach into a deep dark space, lest you find that ragged sharp unfinished fiberglass edge. The wiring is mostly sufficient, although the AC wiring is a bit light. There are sharp screw points in places that might rub cables or hoses... yes, where they put fine frames around openings, they often drove the screws right through the fiberglass, leaving a sharp point that can grab the unwary owners years later.
Perhaps the new boats are a dream... But then I doubt Craig is thinking about new boats.
All boats are compromises... and I suspect that all builders build to some sort of pricepoint. No doubt there are very expensive boats out there that have few shortcomings, but then if you have the money to afford such a boat, you likely are not working on it yourself.
That all said... I still love my boat.
