ended up making some compromises, the deck gear needs "modernizing", electronics were non existent, charging system was a disaster, etc. We got a boat that has lots of what we wanted though. Shoal draft, longer waterline, easy to manage rig, lots more galley room, lots of interior wood in decent shape.

We got a 37' boat for $6000! (sold our islander for our asking price of $24,000 bought the Gulfstar for $30,000) Our Islander 32 was adequate but for the longer trips we have in mind the extra room will be a big plus.

We had things pretty dialed in when we started kicking the jack stands.
