They look very solidly constructed and water-tight. Better than many production boats.

Lots of commercial boats have similar large expanses - it is all in the design, not the expanse.

What doesn't make sense in that picture to me: is this boat really steered from a wheel mounted backwards on the aft bulkhead? The guy is even facing aft when standing in front of the wheel like normal. Weird.
