36 hours?
It's been blowing our ears off for two days . . .
Time was
"Speed = Storm Avoidance..."
Been touch windy
Did you remove all the cruising gear?
just the booze.
YIKES! The CG helo didn't have enough fuel to make it back to their base in Elizabeth City...
Latest update, and the CG video...
These guys need to listen to Don Street
You're right, the Gunboat 55 is listed as an exhibitor in Miami...
OK, sounds like they were not bound for Miami, after all...
I was referring to Don's comment about squalls . . .
No, it's been confirmned they were bound for the Eastern Caribbean...
The rig "safety valve" meme is wrong
I always understood that the "safety feature" on a multi was the hatch in the floor...
But it is not done in multi rigs.
OK. It isn't done.
It used to be done . . .
Many cruising boats use the same system
These rescues will never end. Amazingly we seem to be able to accomodate them all.
The USCG video shows one of the roughest seastate I've noticed from a video of a "lift-out"
It seems to be the infrared....
Why would anyone take
Your second sentence makes sense to me
Except, that pic is not of the boat in question...
OK, I assumed the pic was the boat
Um, I'm thinkin' that shot is taken from the bow, not the stern.
Looks like a boom overhead and a furler behind him?
Yeah, might be indeed. Mebbe he's backing...... : )
I'd still like one.... even if I couldn't afford the insurance
Ooh, ooh, take me along!!
Having read the brochure, I'm impressed with this boat.
Disruptive technology ????
Yeah, I live in fear of running into friends on the street, and having them see that I'm "boatless"...
BTW, conditions not looking especially favorable for a salvage effort, at the moment...
'Disruptive technology', I get what he's saying, being a snowboarder.
