No, it's been confirmned they were bound for the Eastern Caribbean...

...after leaving from Hatteras inlet...
One of the things most surprising to me, is how little distance downrange from Hatteras they actually traveled... 200 NM offshore over 36 hours isn't exactly hauling ass in a boat like that, and certainly doesn't square with Gunboat's hype about the advantages of a boat capable of such speeds offshore, their ability to "sail AROUND storms...", etc...
