I installed electric winches, (Lewmar upgrade kit), on my Catalina 36 two years ago due to a rotator cuff injury. It was, along with an electric windlass, the best thing I've done for my boat. It will allow me to continue to sail as I age, (I'm now 69).

The install was not easy, but well worth it.
