Although we have an autopilot on the IP thanks to Paul Dunn and his replacement control head, we never used it. Well, I tried it once and it held the boat on course although the heading read 180* off. I don't think an autopilot would solve our issues on that boat though, it would not help in the tacking ritual for sure.

BUT, it is certainly a consideration when looking for the next one. Thank you for your input.
