When you snag a line with a full keel boat the line is on a single blade of the prop.

() Once you figure out which side the line line is on, a turn to that side lets the line slide off and you are free. Just don't let the prob freewheel under sail. Like Tom Young I mostly ignore lobster gear when under sail, except for very light air when there is a significant current.
