For all the flak they took from yours truly and others about that abandonment, you gotta give huge props to Charlie for laying it all out in the unvarnished and straightforward fashion he did at the time, and it made for a very compelling and instructional read...

I've definitely learned from the experience of guys like Herb, and Charlie... Certainly, such stories are one reason why I prefer not to 'pre-announce' any voyages I might make, people on the interwebs will only hear about them after the fact, if and when they might reach a successful conclusion... (grin)
