No, they're the Concordia cast solid bronze stancions that came with the boat.

Able to be bent absolutley flat to the deck by brute force(supplied by my son un-docking with a spring line left cleated), heated and re bent to shape. All without damaging the deck due to the huge bases. They really are remarkable pieces of workmanship.

But yes, you have to weave either the life lines or the standing rigging correctly, or,..you have to do it again, until you get it right. I have these 'weaving' issues with the mizzen mast rigging as well, which has more rigging parts to deal with.
