Cruising Sailors Forum Archive

At the time they owned a 50' 100 year old wooden schooner. Now they own a nice steel

sloop. The schooner was a day charter boat which they worked for decades. They have recently retired and bought the steel boat. Not so strange as their first boat, which they cruised for many years while raising a family, was also steel. This one was a labor of love by the owner builder, a beautiful vessel, beyond new.

But the Caravelle spoke to them years before when they took a look while in Puerto Rico(I think it was), but they weren't yet retired. Barbara still lusts after the Caravelle.
