The ship's carpenter at our marina, a very talented man who amazes me with what he does, heaps such expletives on Ipe that it is a wonder that the wood doesn't deteriorate before one's eyes. Yet, it is beautiful and the Ipe decking around one of the marina's buildings is turning a nice hue. On the other hand, my projects that require wood work do not compare with Tom's and my talent certainly doesn't match his. So, for right now, I'll replace the teak with teak because I don't have that much of it, and I scavenge some nice pieces from boat yards that are throwing smaller but serviceable pieces of teak and other nice woods away. Me being cheap. But many thanks for the discussion regarding blades. I think I can approach a wood problem with some confidence.
