One kid that worked at the yard told me about pulling a piece of sole and getting doused by the stream. I've become used to seeing the pumps at the docks intermittently blasting spouts of water. It's almost musical at times. But they all eventually swell up.

Well,...not all, some go back into the sheds for work, and the owner begins the weep.

Seam seal or the equivalent is often spread on open seams pre launch. That boat looks newish and well built. I bet it will swell up. But if you don't keep it in the water(dry sail it), you'll likely have some leaking to deal with.
