If it were for a character piece of furniture I'd say #2. It's great reading your pieces on wood working, I can feel the joy you get from it.

I'm doing some more barter work for a friend. I'm designing a new wheel and other bits for his boat and he is going to make a sideboard for me. He just found a great piece of maple that looks like it would be wonderful with a live edge.
