I thought Ultraglaze was for bonding acyrlic to the hatch frame, not the frame to the deck ? (nm)

101 will work, but butyl rubber is better for hatches and other deck fittings that might need later replacement
That's what I've used with good results.
101 is the standard sealant for deck hardware
I find isopropl alchohol cleans up uncured caulk nice and tidy. (pic)

Hatch openings are pretty much standardized among manufacturers?
But don't use 101 to attempt to seal plastic or something like a hatch lens.
for that I'd use GE Ultraglaze 5000 (pic)
Bomar recommends GE Ultraglaze 4000

Actually, my recommendation of Dow 795 is for glazing. I'd use 4200 for setting the hatch. (pic)
With 4200 you'd never the hatch out again without damaging the frame
4200 is supposed to be not as vicious as 5200
That's like saying it's not as vicious as a rabid animal ;)

I don't think it existed 10 years ago..No one told me about it.
I only use it on stuff I don't want to have to rebed in my lifetime...
I put my new bronze ports in with 5200...

When I first started using #M 5200 it only came in 10-oz tubes
