with a big rusty but OK fisherman/navy anchor that I think I could get for next to nothing. At some point, probably next year when I can justify the expense, I'd put down a real professionally installed concrete block mooring for our cruising boat and hoist up the homemade one...seems shitty to litter an anchorage with stuff like that!)
