Victron makes very, very nice chargers as does Mastervolt but both are a tad $$$. You might also consider an Iota. This is a small company who caters to the off grid community but who also builds some bomb proof chargers for reasonable money.

The Iota DLS-55/IQ4 would meet your 50 amp requirement. I too have had terrible luck with XANTRX...
