They are sized correctly. On our 26' 8K lb boat the Simrad 30/300 holds up quite well in rough conditions ...but it is a full keel design with stern hung rudder and tracks like a train anyhow. Our Simrad tps are rated for a 40' boat and are the strongest Tps out there ...or were when purchased.
